Hillmount hosted an amazing collection of cupcakes. It was a treat for anyone to see such a beautiful range of cup cakes. The imaginative use of colour and technique used in each category was inspirational. What an opportunity for people to show off their creativity. Hillmount would like thank everyone who enetered. We even had entries from as far away as Scotland and England.

Cupcake Competition 2012
Children and Adults it’s time to get your bake on!

Children aged 5-11 years old can enter categories
BIRTHDAY and EASTER
Adults from 12 years old can enter categories
BIRTHDAY, EASTER and WEDDING.

Entry is FREE.
Max. 3 cupcakes for each entry.
Can enter into one or all of the categories.
Entries to be in Hillmount by 11am Saturday 10th March.
All entries will be kept for display purposes.
Judging will be based on appearance
Top 5 Cupcakes will be judged by taste.

Hillmount BBQ Academy Launch

On the 1st day of Spring Hillmount opened the 1 dedicated BBQ cooking school in Ireland.

Terry and Rod performed a live cooking Demonstration to show off the BBQ academy in its full glory. Cooking on four BBQ’s at once the Academy Chefs proved that you can bake roast and grill on a Weber BBQ. The menu included Chocolate Brownies, a Roast Leg of Lamb, Beer Can Chicken and stuffed peppers. The display highlighted the versatility of the Weber Grills. It was also a great opportunity for Customers to see Weber Accessories such as the Talking Thermometer and Pizza Stone in Action.

Our Face Painting went down well with all the Mum’s and Dad’s. It was great to see all the Children running around with different animal faces.

The American Car Club brought a selection of Cars that you would rarely see in the UK. These included ‘’General Lee’’ from Dukes of Hazard, a Dodge Ram, Trans Am and a Mustang Mach 1. There was a large crowd to see them roar there way out of the car park when the day was over.

The U105 roadshow provided great music and entertainment for everyone in store. Carolyn Stewart hosted a great show with loads of quizzes and prizes.

Mark and Carol provided some great grow your own advice on everything from How to Plant potatoes, when to feed tomatoes and what seeds to sow no one was left out.

Hillmount are pleased to announce that they are currently Groupons highest seller for the 2nd year running.

In Jan 2011 Hillmount ran its first groupon promotion selling 3412 £1 vouchers for two hot drinks and two tray bakes.

This year Hillmount ran the same deal on groupon (except this time we didnt offer our home made giant scones as it nearly killed our Chefs in 2011)

The groupon offer finished with a stagering 4356 groupon £1 vouchers sold for two hot drinks and two tray bakes.

Santa’s Winter Wonderland at Hillmount

Santa arrives on Fire Engine

Santa delighted crowds of young children who waited patiently in the winter weather by arriving in Style on a shiney red fire engine with help from his friends at the Fire Service. Santa was alos acompanied by his two favourite Elfs who arrived on a on a Donkey and Cart.

Every year we are delihghted to host Santas arrival to The Hillmount Winter Wonderland. It is a magical time oy year for any family with young children.

Fun was had by all in store with scumptious food tastings courtesy of Easiyo Youghurts and Cottage Delight.
